Isle of Eigg, Scotland

These photographs were taken on a short visit to the Isle of Eigg in June 2008. 

The Isle of Eigg is one of the Small Isles of the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland.  It has a population of about 80 people.  It is reached by ferry from the port of Mallaig.  I arrived late morning and left late afternoon and was there for about five hours.  As the photographs show, I was lucky to have a warm, sunny day.  I walked from the ferry terminal around the coast to the ruined church at Kildonnan.
